Review
Harry Martin hurt his leg and retired limping. Continuing on in his absence, Noah Burton initiated a clever movement and was passing to Sid Gibson, who was speeding for goal, when Bolton's Nelson Howarth swept his legs from under him, and a penalty was awarded. Harry Martin emerged from the dressing room to take the kick(!) and gave Bolton keeper Dick Pym no chance with a powerful left foot drive 15 minutes into the second half. Despite his heroics, Bolton equalised in the 77th minute and the game ended in a draw. (Source NEP 26/12/1924). AND this was our second game in two days, AND we still had one more to play tomorrow at Arsenal!
