Frank Clark debut
Former player, manager and chairman Frank Clark made his first team debut in the 2-0 home win against Portsmouth

Our first Premier League game
On this day in 1992 we played our first Premier League game. It was the first season of the new league, and we were selected as the first televised Sunday game against Liverpool. Not given much chance by the studio pundits, we won 1-0 thanks to a Teddy Sheringham 39th minute goal. It was his last goal as he was sold to Spurs a few weeks later.
