Review
Forest had drawn 2-2 with Linfield in the FA Cup a few days previous, so this was the first round replay...or was it? According to Linfield's official site, Linfield scratched the day before the game, having played an ineligible player in the first match. However, no-one told the fans or even the players! Forest lost 3-1, but the Belfast Evening Telegraph declared that the game had been played as merely a friendly and that it was Forest who would advance to the next round with a visit to Chatham.
