Notes:
Andy Beattie made a single appearance for a us during World War II, as a guest from Preston North End. He later went on to manage us from 1960-1963 as well as managing the Scotland national team.
He became Scotland's first manager in February 1954, but quit during the 1954 World Cup held in Switzerland after claiming his four-game stint with a squad of 13 players placed him in an impossible situation. He was once again appointed Scotland manager in 1959, but resigned in November 1960 because of his commitments with Forest
