Review
This was a mid-season friendly game, played during the World Cup break of 2022. It was the first game of the mini camp we held in Greece and was played behind closed doors. The review on Atromitos's website (translated in English) was:
A great victory - even at a friendly level - for our team against Nottingham Forest who compete in the Premier League. Our team's second and last friendly match ended with a positive sign and result, this time against Nottingham Forest of the Premier League, as in a match held at the Rendis training center against their biggest ""stars"" they prevailed with a score of 3-2
Despite Kjartansson's huge chance only in the 2nd minute, to which Henderson had an answer, the English team opened the scoring in the 5th minute after a corner kick and confusion in the big area, but the answer for ""Asteri"" was immediate. In particular, in the 12th minute, Robaille and De Bock worked together amazingly, with the latter finding the assist for Kuen, who made it 1-1 with a strong shot.
Our team came close to overturning the score when, in the 17th minute, Gondaleth's shot was saved for a corner, and finally in the 21st minute, Forest managed to regain the lead, when again from a corner kick and a stoppage time, Yates sent the ball to Nets. Until the end of the half, our team was again the one that came close to the goal, initially in the 25th minute with Munith's header going past Henderson's goal and in the 45th minute with the English goalkeeper blocking Kuen's shot.
In the second half, it was Chris Coleman's men who were in complete control of the match, looking to equalize and despite many changes, the aim and desire did not change, with an equalizer looking close.
This was finally confirmed in the 73rd minute with Tzovara catching a precise diagonal shot, sending the ball into the net and indeed in the 86 mins from an assist by the same footballer, Kotsopoulos found himself 4-on-4 with Henderson, making the final 3-2
